How to Register for the Clinical Experience Pathway

Register for the fully online, self-paced Intro to Sleep Medicine for Sleep Technologists Modules - Clinical Experience Pathway.

The Clinical Experience Pathway allows learners to complete the ASTEP Intro to Sleep Medicine for Technologists Modules online while gaining the clinical experience (on-the-job training) required by the BRPT. You may begin the modules before obtaining employment, but you must independently satisfy the BRPT requirements for your selected credentialing pathway before applying for an exam.

 How to Register

  1. Visit astep.aasm.org and click Create Account. 
  2. Complete the registration form.
  3. Select Introduction to Sleep Medicine for Technologists.
  4. Select Clinical Experience.
  5. Purchase the complete module series or individual modules.
  6. Open your ASTEP dashboard and begin the modules.

You have access to the modules for three years from your registration date. AASM recommends completing the module series within 12 months of enrollment.

If you purchase modules individually, you cannot later switch to the full module package. Confirm current pricing in the registration portal before purchasing.
