What education and training programs are available for APPs in Sleep Medicine? 

The ASTEP Intro to Clinical Sleep Medicine for APPs is a comprehensive onboarding program designed for APRNs and PAs. It combines essential courses and targeted electives to facilitate their entry into the sleep medicine field. Participants will develop foundational knowledge and practical skills to evaluate, treat, and educate patients with common sleep disorders across various clinical environments.

The estimated time to complete the program is 20 hours, by combining 15 required courses and a minimum of 5 hours of elective courses. Participants can earn 20-29.5 CME credits and will receive a certificate upon course completion. Although the program provides thorough education and recognition, it does not include a certification exam or grant additional credentials.
